Maybe it's getting back into the swing of work after the holidays or the roller coaster that is midwest weather, but I think most of us would agree that a Caribbean vacation sounds pretty sweet right now.
Whether you are just daydreaming about a beach day or starting to think more seriously about planning that vacation, let's talk about one of my favorite tropical destinations: Jamaica!
Jamaica seriously has it all. Gorgeous beaches, incredible waterfalls, tropical jungle, AMAZING food...you can't go wrong! With some of the world's most beautiful resorts, this Caribbean destination is perfect for a family vacation or just a sweet getaway for two.
Top 3 Favorite Jamaican Destinations:
1. Montego Bay
The Montego Bay area of Jamaica boasts some of the most beautiful white sand coastlines in the world and is home to some of my favorite resorts.
When you aren't lounging on the beach with something fruity in your hand, you can check out the local Montego Bay area for shopping, delicious restaurants, and live music. You can also satisfy your adventure cravings with zip-lining, bamboo rafting, or a mountain bobsled ride!
2. Negril
Negril is an easy choice for my list with some of the most stunning coastlines in the country, including the postcard-worthy Seven Mile Beach.
This amazing Jamaican destination boasts beautiful beaches, unique accommodations, and fun Caribbean nightlife! There are also plenty of excursions in the Negril area, such as horseback riding and snorkeling along the coral reef. Negril is also a scuba diving hotspot if you are feeling adventurous!
3. Ocho Rios
I might have saved the best for last with this one! Ocho Rios makes for an incredible getaway in Jamaica and has a little something for everyone!
Take a day trip to the incredible Instagram-worthy Blue Hole--a natural sinkhole with stunning blue waters and untouched waterfalls. You also can't miss the Dunn's River Falls. Here you'll have the chance to climb natural terraced waterfalls as well as swim at beautiful nearby beaches.
